Testimonials

Here’s what others’ experiences have been with Wood Consulting:

“Jennifer at Wood Consulting met our high expectations during a recent project we worked on together.  She was professional, knowledgeable and provided significant insight.  Her services are invaluable and saved us so much time.  She brought practical insight and gave appropriate options to our practice’s specific needs.  We are looking forward in working with her on our next project!”

~ Crystal Dieter, Practice Manager, Premier Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery

“Providing the best experience for our customers at Lucy’s Loon Lake Coffee & Deli is crucial to our small local business especially when there are so many options right outside our front door.  At our initial meeting, I was immediately impressed at how Jennifer had specific materials ready to discuss as if she had been a part of our Loon Lake family for years.  She had already researched and studied our business and was able to capture the essence of Loon Lake and actually pinpoint some areas that could be improved on.  I was not only impressed with her plethora of options that pertained to Loon Lake, but the fact that she could see that I was overwhelmed and quickly jumped in to provide her thoughts as to what direction she felt was the highest priority for our company. Because I am a working owner, my availability was limited and she made me feel as if I was her only customer and was very gracious and understanding when I had to reschedule.  When Jennifer met the entire team, she was on fire, engaging and made the entire staff immediately feel comfortable and relaxed. Prior to the presentation I had warned Jennifer that a few of our team members had just worked a 9 hour shift and that I was concerned that they would not be able to concentrate.  Not only did she pick them out right away, but had all of us laughing and enjoying the information she was sharing.  Her professionalism, empathy for a working owner and knowledge proved to me that I would be hiring Jennifer back often to keep us on track to be a growing successful business. You should do the same and get her on board with your team, you won’t regret it!”

“Jennifer did a fabulous job training our lead production staff about “Respect in the Workplace.”  She made everyone feel comfortable and at ease, and most attendees actively participated, even with upper management involved in the training.  She gave relevant examples and offered great exercises to provide insight into how negativity and disrespect makes co-workers feel, and ultimately how it impacts results at work.  She met with us (management/HR) in advance to learn about our goals and expectations, workforce and work environment so that she could customize the training accordingly.  She was extremely flexible with our bizarre work schedule and while the training took place in between our 3rd shift and 1st shift meaning that everyone was tired due to coming in late/early , all participants were still engaged and interested in the content because of the way it was presented.  The materials were easy to read and navigate.  I would highly recommend this training to other employers who want to build a more cohesive team and/or teach new or young leaders how to better gain respect and productivity from their team.  Jen is a great presenter, who is not intimidating or boring, and I think anyone at any level would enjoy her training style!”

“Having personnel issues unfortunately happens in workgroups. We determined we needed an outside perspective, someone who would assess issues and guide us in the right direction to address and improve. Jennifer met with us and members of the workgroup and provided, not only what the issues were, but corrective action to take.

Jennifer was flexible and willing to work with our schedule. I certainly will look to Wood Consulting in the future and recommend Jennifer to any organization in need of consultation for personnel issues.”

~ Joe Simpson, PHR, SHRM-CP, IPMA-CP, HR Manager, City of Beloit

“I just wanted to thank you for guiding me through the interview process when I needed to hire a new clerical assistant. Being an operations manager in a small office of a large company, my experience with hiring and interviewing is minimal.  I appreciated the advice on which candidates were good possibilities, and the suggestions for what questions to ask them (and what not to ask them) was right on. I was able to narrow down from 19 resumes, to five people to interview.  We ended up calling two of them back, and finally hiring one! I believe she will be a definite asset to our branch, and a great addition to our team!”

~ Diane Hinkel, Operations Manager, Motion Industries

It was a pleasure to work with and learn from her, and her can-do attitude is infectious!”

“Jennifer is a high energy, multitasking HR manager that has the ability to deal with all levels of the company. She has the ability to see gaps or identify deficiencies that need addressed and makes sure they are dealt with. “Ed Wood has my utmost respect given the experience I had working with him as a human resource professional. Ed demonstrated to me that he is a genuine and authentic leader. Having had the distinct pleasure to work with him, I witnessed how his military leadership experience was reflected in his words and actions. Ed has the right blend of high intellectual intelligence combined with high emotional intelligence. He has high integrity, is trustworthy, kind and caring, yet he knows how to drive strategic business results and also how to create an inviting workplace culture. Ed excels at whatever he is responsible for.”

~Linda Wilke, Global Corporate Leader of Training and Development, Cygnus Business Media

“I have worked with Jennifer in a professional/networking capacity for the past 10+ years. She is resourceful, creative, and a solution-oriented person who is frequently able to come up with new and innovative approaches to the issues and limitations that face her daily. She has a knack to always provide a way to organize and prioritize keeping things on schedule. On the interpersonal side, Jennifer has superior verbal communication skills.”
